    1. Pack Run — Lagoon Run @ Wairau Lagoon, CARPARK AT END OF ROAD
      1:45 pm – 3:30 pm

Meet at the end of Hardings Road Carpark and information boards and run around the walking tracks through and around Wairau Lagoon reserve. Tracks are well formed with plenty of boardwalks, You will see plenty of bird life plus the wreck of the Waverley built in 1833. It was towed in 1928 from Wellington by SS Wairau to be sunk to form a breakwater. Nature intervened with a storm when the Waverley broke loose sweeping it up the channel to its present resting place.
From there you can elect to take a longer run or complete the circuit for afternoon tea. Please bring a plate to share with others.
A really interesting part of Marlborough to explore.
